Naga (Japanese: ナーガ Naga) is a regalia light magic tome introduced in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. It is the sacred light tome once wielded by Saint Heim, the leader of the Twelve Crusaders of Jugdral, bestowed upon him by the divine dragon god Naga after their blood-bond in the Miracle of Darna. It is the property of Heim's successors, the ruling Belhalla dynasty of the Kingdom of Grannvale, and can only be used by those who bear major Naga Holy Blood.
History
Bestowed upon Saint Heim by Naga herself at the Miracle of Darna, Naga is the strongest of the weapons of the Crusaders, and without it, the Crusaders' defeat of Loptous would have been impossible.[1] Like the Forseti tome, Naga has an influence on the personality of its wielder, which resulted in the holy bloodline being named for Naga rather than Heim unlike most Crusader bloodlines.[2]
At some point after the ascension of Arvis to the position of Emperor of Grannvale, the tome was sealed away in Belhalla Castle contained in a box openable only by a key hidden in Empress Deirdre's circlet, possibly by Manfroy in order to prevent access to the only power capable of defeating the Loptous-possessed Prince Julius. In the closing days of the Empire and with the approach of Seliph's liberation army, Arvis himself moved it to the treasure room at Velthomer Castle, where it was later found by Seliph after the conquering of the castle. Julia, Deirdre's daughter and inheritor of her circlet, opened the box and obtained the tome, and as the sole surviving major-blooded descendant of Heim, used it to defeat Julius.

Fire Emblem Cipher
Naga is present as a skill on one card in Fire Emblem Cipher: B08-054SR The God of Light’s Descendant, Julia. It is a trigger skill which comes into play automatically whenever Julia defeats an opposing unit. If the player chooses to pay a cost of flipping one bond card face-down, then her player may look through their deck and choose one card of Jugdral affiliation which does not depict Julia, then play that card as a bond.
Trivia
- In Genealogy of the Holy War, Naga gives the largest cumulative equipping stat bonus of any weapon in the Fire Emblem series, totalling 80 points of stat increase.
- Naga is one of two weapons in Genealogy of the Holy War which, if animated battle scenes are switched off, always forces battles into animations-on mode anyway. The other weapon is Loptous.
- The Book of Naga's English name in Awakening was leaked in the source code of the Awakening official website's page on SpotPass when it was updated on February 4, long before the tome itself was available in the game.[3]
