Genealogy of the Holy War

The Circlet (Japanese: サークレット Circlet) is an accessory item exclusive to Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. The item is exclusively used by the playable characters Deirdre and Julia, and in addition to granting its bearer a pair of powerful skills, it also plays a significant role in the final part of the game's story.

History

The Circlet was originally one of Deirdre's personal belongings from her life in the Spirit Forest of Verdane, which she kept with her and took with her upon leaving with Sigurd. Arvis, Deirdre's second husband, took possession of the Circlet after Deirdre's death, and at some point turned its ornament into the key to unlock the Book of Naga from a sealed box, as part of a plan to sabotage Manfroy and Julius.

In the final days of Seliph's revolutionary war against the Grannvale Empire, Arvis gave the Circlet to his daughter Julia at the last moment before Manfroy abducted her, telling her only it could save her. After getting Julia back during the final battle, Seliph and Lewyn took Julia to the Velthomer treasury to use the Circlet to unlock the Book of Naga, the only power able to stop Julius.
