Hit (Japanese: 命中 Hit) is a stat applied to weapons in the Fire Emblem series, roughly analogious to a unit's skill stat. It acts as a base measure of accuracy inherent to weapons, and is used as a core part of calculating a unit's accuracy, or hit rate, with a given weapon in battle.

Of the weapon triangle and Trinity of Magic, swords, wind magic and light magic are traditionally associated with possessing the highest hit of their respective weapon groups, and thus the greatest raw accuracy; in compensation, they tend toward possessing lower might.

The class bonus is +5 for Master Ninjas and Sorcerers, and +10 for Snipers and Lodestars.

Shadows of Valentia Physical accuracy: Hit + (Skill) + (Support bonus)
Magical accuracy: Hit + [(Skill + Luck) / 2] + (Support bonus)
If any bonus is not relevant, the bonus in question is taken to be 0.
Three Houses Physical accuracy: Hit + (Dexterity) + (Support bonus) + (Ability bonus) + (Equipment bonus) + (Battalion bonus) - (Bow range penalty)
Magical accuracy: Hit + [(Dexterity + Luck) / 2] + (Support bonus) + (Ability bonus) + (Equipment bonus) + (Battalion bonus) - (Bow range penalty)
If any bonus is not relevant, the bonus in question is taken to be 0.
Bow penalty is only relevant for units attacking with bows from further than 2 spaces; in such a case, the user suffers a penalty of [20 × (Range - 2)]; on Maddening, the penalty is increased by 10 points. Bow penalty caps at 60 on Normal and Hard, and at 70 on Maddening.[1]

Trivia

  • The weapon with the greatest raw hit in the entire series is the Onager, with 255 hit in both appearances. The weapons with the next-highest hit are the Trainer and Practice Axe in Path of Radiance, both of which have 150 hit (105 points behind the Onager).
