Armads (アルマーズ, Arumaazu), also known as the Axe of Thunder, is one of the Divine Weapons of Elibe. Near a millennium before the games' events, it was created to defeat the dragons during the Scouring. Its original wielder was Durban of the Eight Generals, who came to see himself and the axe as one and the same and referred to himself as "Armads". He would later found the Western Isles and enshrine it in a cave, where it is eventually found and collected by Hector and later Roy.
Armads appeared and was obtainable in Fuuin no Tsurugi and Blazing Sword, also appearing as part of the logo of the latter. As all other Divine Weapons, it deals extra damage against wyvern riders, wyvern lords, and Manaketes. Additionally, it boosts the wielder's defense by five points when equipped. After several games, it makes a reappearance in Awakening, alongside other weapons from Elibe.
