Valflame (Japanese: ファラフレイム Falaflame) is a regalia fire tome introduced in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. It is the tome once wielded by Fjalar of the Twelve Crusaders, created and bestowed upon her in her blood-bonding with Salamand in the Miracle of Darna. It is the property of those of her lineage, the members of Grannvale's House Velthomer, and is restricted in use to those in possession of major Fjalar Holy Blood.
History
Throughout the events of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, Valflame remains the property of Arvis, the Duke of Velthomer and later Emperor of Grannvale. In the last days of the Grannvale Empire, Arvis used it in his ill-fated last stand against Seliph's liberation army.
Millennia later, Valflame came into the possession of the Grimleal, and was given to its reincarnation of the Deadlord Canis. By this point, the tome was no longer sealed to the Fjalar bloodline and was capable of being used by any mage of reasonable skill.

Fire Emblem Cipher
Valflame is present as a skill on one of Arvis's cards in Fire Emblem Cipher: B06-047SR Inheritor of the Holy Flame, Arvis. It is a manual-activation skill which, for a cost of flipping 3 bond card and discarding a spare Arvis card from the player's hand, allows the player to automatically destroy one non-lord enemy unit of their choice, then force their opponent to discard bond cards until they have only 5 left.
Trivia
- Along with Helswath, Gungnir and Mjölnir, Valflame is one of the Crusader weapons completely inaccessible and unusable to the player in Genealogy of the Holy War. Though there is a playable member of the Velthomer family, Azel, he has minor Fjalar blood and is unable to use the tome. It was not until Awakening that Valflame became a playable weapon.
- In Awakening, the Valflame spell animation is ringed with text written in the Tellius ancient language script. This text does not actually say anything coherent, is garbled when decoded into the Latin alphabet, and is merely decorative.
