Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War

Swanchika (スワンチカ, Suwanchika) is the axe once wielded by Neir of the Twelve Crusaders, bestowed upon him at the Miracle of Darna after his blood-bond with a dragon. The axe is the property of Neir's descendants, the members of Grandbell's House Dozel, and is restricted in use to those in possession of major Neir Holy Blood.

The axe became the property of Duke Langobalt of Dozel, who at Lubeck Castle wields it in his efforts to stop Sigurd and his group from returning to Grandbell, dying in the battle. The axe is then passed to his son Danan, who doesn't keep it with him in his occupation of Rivough Castle; instead, it is kept by Danan's own son Burian. Burian wields it in his confrontation with Seliph' liberation army as it marchs on Grandbell itself, also dying in the battle.

Millennia later, Swanchika comes into the possession of the Gimle Cult, and is given to its reincarnation of the Dark Warlord Drei. By this point, the axe is no longer sealed to the Neir bloodline and is capable of being used by any axe-wielder of reasonable skill.

Along with the Gungnir, Thor Hammer and Falaflame, Swanchika is one of the Crusader weapons completely inaccessible and unusable to the player in Seisen no Keifu. Though there are several playable members of the Dozel family (Lex, Johan, Johalva), they all have minor Neir blood and are unable to use the axe. It was not until Awakening that Swanchika became a playable weapon.
