===Analysis=== | |||
analysis | |||
Mozu is Villager who can be recruited in Paralogue 1, which can accessed after the seventh chapter. Like other trainee-like characters, she has low starting stats and excellent growth rates, which are further boosted by the skill Aptitude. With it, her HP, speed, strength, skill, luck, and defense growths all exceed 50%, meaning she is more likely to gain stat boosts than not whenever she levels up.
==Personality | In her base class of Villager, Mozu fares poorly. She is locked to 1-range, E-level naginata, and her poor base stats make it difficult for her to contribute, and consequently gain the experience necessary to level up and take advantage of her growth rates. Thankfully, Mozu can reclass to an Archer, which will allow her to at least contribute from a distance without putting herself in danger. Being an Archer has added value in Conquest, as the classline is otherwise mostly unavailable on that route, and it can provide useful skills, such as Quick Draw and Bowfaire, to aid her combat capabilities. If reclassed into an Archer immediately in her joining paralogue, she can take advantage of its enemy Faceless' lack of ranged attacks to gain experience safely. Once promoted, her Villager classline also offers further valuable skills in Spendthrift from Merchant and Life and Death from Master of Arms, which when combined with the aforementioned Archer line skills can boost her attack to exceptional levels, totalling up to +29 if all of them are active.
With this said, however, reclassing Mozu in the first place necessitates using one of the Heart Seals that are available early-game, which are few in number and are also desired by units such as Corrin and Jakob, this is especially notable in Birthright, where only one Heart Seal can be obtained before upgrading to the level 2 Rod Shop after Chapter 13. Moreover, there is less incentive to use her Birthright and Revelation, as those routes provides an Archer that requires much less investment in Takumi and Setsuna. However, she also has a significant speed advantage over the above two. Normally, she can make double attacks without the need for a backpack, and if resources continue to be invested, she can instantly deal great damage by her excellent reclassing options, which is unmatched by other archers. The lack of archers in Conquest also gives her ample room to play, and it is worthwhile to use the Heart Seal to obtain an excellent archer.
In addition, she can give Aptitude to her child, which can make them a stronger unit. It should be noted that Aptitude will apply to any levels children automatically gain due to Offspring Seals.
