Beran (Japanese: ベルナ Berna) is a boss appearing in Ephraim's route of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. He is a Grado squad commander ordered to relieve Selena of her duties.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

Role

Beran is the boss of Chapter 10 of Ephraim's route from the start of turn 2 player phase onward. He arrives in Bethroen with Valter, to relieve Selena of her duty on the emperor's belief that she was untrustworthy in the task of dealing with the traitorous Duessel. Considering Valter's comments after Selena departs it is somewhat questionable if the Emperor ever ordered her return.[1]

Beran is unable to complete Duessel's execution or prevent Ephraim's and Frelia's incursion into the area. He is either killed by Ephraim's forces or flees the battle after the tenth turn. If he flees, it is in fear of Valter returning and exacting punishment for his slowness of completing the task. His fate is unknown after his desertion; he is never seen again.
