Balmer(Japanese: バルマ Baruma) is the boss of Chapter 7 of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. He is in charge of the battalion of Daein soldiers that fights the Greil Mercenaries in Fort Meritenne. He, like other Daein generals, is confident in his abilities as a fighter, particularly with respect to his talent for magic. When his soldiers begin to fall in battle, he remarks at how embarrassing they can be, but remains calm nonetheless.
Petrine put him in charge of the soldiers combating with Ike and company while she engaged in a duel with Greil. He was to make sure that none of the Crimean vermin escaped alive, and apparently was expecting reinforcements.
