Personality and character

Heddwyn is somewhat cowardly and was easily intimidated by the approach of Ike's army, panicking about how his forces weren't large enough to cope with them.[1] He had difficulty telling the difference between the Feral Ones on his side and Ike's laguz allies, aside from Nasir, whose color did not match any of his feral dragons.[2]

Battle quotes

This is not good... They're closing in. There are not enough Feral Ones. Someone! Anyone? Haaaalp! Go find Master Izuka at once!
— Heddwyn, as the boss of Chapter 28 in Path of Radiance.
That's a Feral One, isn't it? They all look alike to me... Eh? Wh-why is it coming this way? Aaah! I don't like this at all! I think I'll destroy it just to be safe.
— Heddwyn, when fighting any beast tribe laguz in Chapter 28 in Path of Radiance.
Is that a Feral One? Or is it an enemy...? I can't tell the difference! I'll attack it just in case.
— Heddwyn, when fighting any bird tribe laguz in Chapter 28 in Path of Radiance.
That one... He has the look of a commander. If I can only hit him... Well, here goes nothing!
— Heddwyn, when fighting Ike in Chapter 28 in Path of Radiance.
None of the Feral Ones is that color. Which means it's an enemy! Yaaaaaa!
— Heddwyn, when fighting Nasir in Chapter 28 in Path of Radiance.
E-Ena? It can't be... You were supposed to be executed!
— Heddwyn, when fighting Ena in Chapter 28 in Path of Radiance.
Reinforcements at last! No, wait a moment... Could that be...
— Heddwyn, when fighting Tauroneo in Chapter 28 in Path of Radiance.
