— Largo

Largo (Japanese: ラルゴ Largo) is a berserker from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. He is Calill's husband and the only controllable berserker in the game. In Radiant Dawn, he is no longer a unit because of an unspecified accident in which he lost his arm. He and Calill have a daughter named Amy, whom they adopted.

Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Largo is the only playable berserker in the game. He joins extremely late, on Chapter 25 where infantry units are viable. Otherwise he lacks a mount and canto, hurting him after this chapter. He has respectable base offensive stats, able to double and deal significant reliable damage. His 15% crit bonus is also helpful, though he does not get a crit bonus in the Japanese version. He has an A rank in axes, able to use all available axes in the game including Silver Axes and the Tomahawk. However, despite his high base health, his durability is poor with low defense and resistance, making him a late-game player phase glass cannon.

Largo's growths continue his trend of a glass cannon, having an extremely high strength growth, decent growths in skill and speed, and low growths in defense and resistance. He can be one of the most powerful endgame units in the game, able to hit the high 30 strength cap and use Silver Axe Forges, which can be valuable on harder difficulties with the extremely bulky enemies. With his late join time, he performs best with some bonus experience for his offense to catch up and surpass other trained units, especially endgame.

Largo has no skills at base. Most offensive skills work well on him, including Adept, Wrath, and Resolve, though due to his late join time, the earlier skills would get more use out of earlier units. Largo can make decent use of one of the later Occults, as Colossus can be a helpful offensive skill due to his high strength, skill, and weight.

Largo has a wind affinity which gives an accuracy and avoid boost. He can support Mia and Devdan, who are both infantry combat units with fire affinities, giving more accuracy and +1 attack. Muarim and Tauroneo have thunder affinities which give more avoid and +1 defense. Due to Largo's nature of a glass cannon, he appreciates the extra avoid boost more.

If players intend on performing any data transfers from Path of Radiance to Radiant Dawn, bear in mind that any returning units who attained an A support with Largo will not obtain an extra bond support due to the latter not being a playable character in Radiant Dawn.
