Clair (Japanese: クレア Clea) is a Pegasus Knight in the service of the kingdom of Zofia, a member of the resistance army against General Dozer, and the sister of former resistance leader Clive.
Fire Emblem Gaiden
Role
Clair had been captured by Dozer's forces and imprisoned in the Southern Fortress. She was released when Alm's band stormed the fortress, and she subsequently joined Alm's army.

- In Gaiden, promotion gains consist on giving the character as many points as necessary -the "x" value shown in the table- to reach the promoted class' base stats. If the character's stats are higher than their promoted class' base stats, they will not receive any bonus; however, if all stats are higher, then they will receive +1 to HP.
Fire Emblem Awakening
Clair is playable as a SpotPass character, released in the Gaiden character set. Along with Innes of The Sacred Stones and Ayra of Genealogy of the Holy War, Clair was one of the first three characters to be revealed to a "returning character" on March 14th, 2012, in a video released by Nintendo on the Wii's Nintendo Channel service which which they later also placed on the official Japanese website for Awakening. This video confirmed the game's use of SpotPass functionality to deliver bonus playable characters returning from earlier games in the Fire Emblem series.[1]
Additionally, Clair appears as an enemy unit in the DLC chapter Lost Bloodlines 2.

Other appearances
Fire Emblem Gaiden (manga)
Clair has a minor role in the Gaiden manga, with her most prominent appearance being when she aids Alm in the fight against Dozer to save Machilda. She is particularly interested in rescuing Machilda; when Machilda marries Clive, they will be sister-in-laws. Afterwards she becomes a minor background character appearing in few scenes.
Trivia
- In the game manual for Fire Emblem Gaiden, Clair's official artwork depicts her as having red hair. In Fire Emblem: The Complete, however, her character art has blue hair, matching her in-game face sprite. Her appearance in Awakening gives her red hair again, as it uses her manual artwork for her portrait. Echoes: Shadows of Valentia changes her hair color yet again, this time making her blond, a departure from her previously red or blue hair. This was presumably done to match her brother Clive, who is also blond.
- Placeholder graphics for Clair's portrait can be found in The Golden Gaffe's resources, suggesting she was to have a paid Einherjar form.
