Nótt initially appeared as the boss of part 5 of chapter 5 of Book V.

Nótt became playable in the Serpent's Whispers update, and became available for summoning by players on June 18, 2021. Nótt is the twenty-first Mythic Hero, and as such is only available as a focus unit, and is not part of the general summoning pool.

Unlike Dagr, Nótt possesses an air of lofty arrogance, and appears to be condescending towards Dagr by referring to the latter as a "troublesome pest". She is also inclined towards romance, as shown by her behavior upon Ótr suggesting that they marry.

Nótt is the firstborn princess of Jötunheimr, kingdom of the Jötnar. She's practically overflowing with regal elegance!	That said, she's not without her impulses, and I hear she's quick to fall in love if someone who meets her standards manages to catch her eye!	Nótt is the twin sister of Dagr, the second princess. Long ago, they were the best of friends, but they've since had a major falling-out over the succession to the Jötunheimr throne…	Her spear, Hrímfaxi, is absolutely deadly, by the way. When she's out on the battlefield, you can be sure she has everyone's full attention!

The twin princesses of the Jötnar have come to join the New Year celebrations here in Askr! Let's give a warm welcome to Dagr and Nótt!	For this special occasion, they've dressed up in kimonos to start the year with a bang! The way they wear their new outfits really shows the difference in their personalities, with Nótt wearing hers in a more elegant style while Dagr gives it a little flair of her own.	They've also chosen different weapons to go with their seasonal attire. Dagr's brought a bow, while Nótt's carrying a short sword. Their weapons in hand, the two look ready to get things done in the coming year!	Dagr and Nótt may argue sometimes, but at the end of the day, they're still inseparable twins. I hope this year gives them both something to smile about!
