Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Céline is a useful unit with high and well-rounded stat growths. While she's likely to rely on offensive magic early on, Mag is actually the most disappointing of her otherwise good stats, with a growth of just 25%, so if she is to keep dealing competitive damage via magic she may need to promote into a class that will significantly increase said growth. Unfortunately, Sage or High Priest will leave Céline with only 5 movement and lackluster Def, so unless staff utility is considered essential, Mage Knight may be the best option for a magical Céline, with the expected 6 movement and a moderate but much-welcome boost to Def growth.
An arguably more auspicious option is to relegate Céline's magic to a backup role and focus on realizing her solid physical damage potential. The Wyvern Knight is a tempting promotion, as it will give her (with Tiki's Starsphere) a solid 70/60/65 in Str/Dex/Spd growths, as well as the the all-purpose weapon combination of Javelin and Levin Sword, while also bringing her Def/Res growths to an excellent 65/60. This can be retained as Céline's final class or used just for mid-game stat development; if in the late game additional staff utility is desired or the player's army is too flier-heavy, a final switch to Griffon, Wolf, Royal or Great knight can be considered.
The unique Vidame class should be avoided since it not only lacks mobility, but also has disappointing growths in damage-dealing stats (10/15/5/5 Str/Mag/Dex/Speed), rendering Céline ineffective against the increasingly tough enemies as the game progresses.

Battle quotes
“ | Celica: I must admit, going to battle against you is rather strange, Céline. Céline: Oh, quite. I would rather chat over a cup of tea. Yet, as this is a trial, tea is not an option. So instead of polite conversation, I will fight you to the last, yes? Celica: Of course. Come at me now. Bring everything you have to bear and claim victory. |
