- In Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi, promotion gains consist on giving the character as many points as necessary -the "x" value shown in the table- to reach the promoted class' base stats. If the character's stats are higher than their promoted class' base stats, they will not receive any bonus.
Role
As in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, Wrys is found residing in a village in Talys. When Marth visits, Wrys offers his services as a curate and accompanies him for the rest of the war.

Role
Despite not appearing in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, Wrys returns in Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem. He is brought in by Cain to help instruct Altea's 7th Platoon as their healer. Upon meeting him, Luke is horrified that the team's healer isn't the cute cleric he was hoping for. After the assassination attempt on Marth fails, he leaves on a journey, although he believes that eventually he will meet the 7th Platoon again. This belief turns out to be true, as the assassins begin systematically killing all of Marth's old allies from the War of Shadows. This includes Wrys, and he is cornered by the assassins. However, he is saved by the timely arrival of Marth's army, and he rejoins Marth once again for the duration of the War of Heroes.
Wrys is the only character in New Mystery of the Emblem with a unique staff named for him available through Everyone's Conditions: Wrys's Staff.
