Lykke, I'm impressed a spineless coward like you could throw this country into so much chaos. I'll hazard a guess that Hardin talked you into this?

Lykke was one of the Macedonian generals dissatisfied by Princess Minerva's renovation of the Macedonian army in the aftermath of the War of Shadows. He, along with several other members of the army, including Lumel, arranged a coup d'état to overthrow Minerva, which ended in a success due to it catching Minerva off-guard. This coup later caught the attention of Emperor Hardin of Archanea, who ordered Prince Marth of Altea to suppress the rebellion and rescue Minerva. Before Marth and the Altean army were able to confront Lykke, Michalis, widely believed to have died in the War of Shadows, arrived at the Macedonian castle and managed to threaten Lykke into giving him Minerva. The Altean army eventually managed to reach Lykke and he was killed in the ensuing battle.

Michalis suggests that Hardin convinced Lykke to arrange the coup, as Lykke would be too cowardly to do so on his own. Whether this is accurate or merely Michalis's opinion is never expanded upon.
