Falaflame (ファラフレイム) is the fire tome once wielded by Fala of the Twelve Crusaders, created and bestowed upon her in her blood-bonding with Salamander in the Miracle of Darna. It is the property of those of her lineage, the members of Grandbell's House Velthomer, and is restricted in use to those in possession of major Fala Holy Blood.
Throughout the events of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War, Falaflame remains the property of Alvis, the Duke of Velthomer and later Emperor of Grandbell. In the last days of the Grandbell Empire, Alvis used it in his ill-fated last stand against Seliph's liberation army.
Millennia later, Falaflame came into the possession of the Gimle Cult, and was given to its reincarnation of the Dark Warlord Elf. By this point, the tome was no longer sealed to the Fala bloodline and was capable of being used by any mage of reasonable skill.
Along with the Swanchika, Gungnir and Thor Hammer, Falaflame is one of the Crusader weapons completely inaccessible and unusable to the player in Seisen no Keifu. The only playable member of House Velthomer is Azel, who possesses only minor Fala blood, as would all of his potential children. It was not until Awakening that it became a playable weapon.
