“ | Then you'd better eat up. Eat, grow up, and get your revenge on us someday. No chance for revenge if you starve to death. | ” | — Helbindi |
---|
Helbindi (Japanese: ヘルビンディ Helbindi) is a general of Múspell, and an antagonistic character in Book II of Fire Emblem Heroes.
Fire Emblem Heroes
Role
Helbindi first appears in part 1 of chapter 9 of Book II, where he meets up with the Order of Heroes as they cross into Múspell, but is eventually forced to retreat to the Fortress of Cinders, wherein he starts attempting to torture the captive Ylgr only to be forced into showing his sensitive side and stop Ylgr from starving herself to death. He reappears in part 5, where he attempts to have Ylgr transported to the castle on Surtr's orders; when he attempts to turn Ylgr over to one of his underlings, he explains that he can't stay with her himself as his own situation appears dire, and later gets his sensitive side exposed when Ylgr deduces that Helbindi's trying to protect his sister. He goes on to challenge the Order of Heroes and finds himself defeated, but not before he mentions that someone by the name of Menja, who is implied to be his younger sister, needs him.
He later appears at the end of part 2 of chapter 11 of Book II. He does not want to accompany Laegjarn and Laevatein in chasing down the Order of Heroes, saying he owes them nothing, but he is blackmailed by Laegjarn into continuing to help Múspell. Laegjarn says that if Surtr finds out that Helbindi failed before, he will be killed, and if Loki finds out, she will threaten to tell Surtr, and then work him to death, but if he succeeds now, he will live and be able to help his sister. He meets up with the Order of Heroes in part 3, and attacks them, but he is defeated.
He next appears during part 3 of chapter 12 of Book II, where he loses in battle to the Order of Heroes once again. In the aftermath, Laegjarn appears and informs him that as punishment for his initial failure, Surtr burned down the slums and killed everyone living there, including his sister, to make an example of him.
Helbindi makes his last appearance in part 3 of chapter 13 of Book II. He breaks Ylgr and Veronica out of imprisonment and rescues them, and sacrifices himself to save them in a last stand against Surtr.
