Final battle
The chapter map for the final battle of this Tempest Trial.
The final battle takes place on a fixed map against four random lesser enemies and the chapter's boss, Hector. The four lesser enemies are drawn from pools based on weapon and movement types, as follows:
- Melee cavalry (×1): These units use swords, lances, and axes, and are of the Cavalry movement type. For this trial, this pool consisted of: Abel, Cain, Eldigan, Eliwood, Frederick, Gunter, Jagen, Luke, Mathilda, Peri, Roderick, Seth, Stahl, Sully, and Titania; the Brave variation of Roy was also available to this pool on the final day of the trial.
- Ranged cavalry (×1): These units use red tomes, blue tomes, and green tomes, as well as bows on the final day of the trial, and are of the Cavalry movement type. For this trial, this pool consisted of: Cecilia, Leo, Olwen, and Reinhardt; the Brave variation of Lyn was also available to this pool on the final day of the trial.
- Melee infantry (×2): These units use swords, lances, axes, red breath, blue breath, and green breath, and are of the Infantry movement type. For this trial, this pool consisted of: Alm, Arthur, Athena, Azura, Barst, Bartre, Chrom, Corrin (both genders), Donnel, Eirika, Ephraim, Fae, Fir, Gray, Hana, Hawkeye, Hinata, Ike, Karel, Laslow, Lon'qu, Lucina, Lukas, Lyn, Marth, Ninian, Nowi, Oboro, Ogma, Olivia, Raven, Roy, Ryoma, Saber, Selena, Seliph, and Tiki (both ages); the Brave variations of Ike and Lucina were also available to this pool on the final day of the trial.
The final day of this trial is notably the only one to date where character variants apart from standard variants were available in the random character pools for the final battle, in this case the variants introduced in Brave Heroes. By extension, the final day of this trial is also the only one to date where a character in the Bow Cavalry combination was available to the Tempest Trials random pool for the final battle.
This trial as a whole is the last one to date where performer units (i.e. those with Dance or Sing) were included in the melee infantry pool for the final battle; they were removed from the pool in the subsequent full-fledged trial, "Moment of Fate", and have been missing from the pool since.
