Noble Lady of Caelin/Script
Five days have passed since, Darin fled Castle Laus. Word of the events that have transpired since Eliwood left Pherae should have reached Uther, yet Ostia has taken no action. Hector explains that Uther’s inaction is likely due to the potential threat of Bern invading Lycia should King Desmond detect any sign of weakness or discord. While the two discuss the political circumstances of Elibe, Marcus or Oswin (depends on which story you are playing) reports that Castle Caelin has fallen to a surprise attack from Darin. Eliwood and Hector immediately mobilize their forces to pursue Darin.
Meanwhile, in Caelin, Lyn has escaped the castle with Kent, Sain, Florina, and Wil. Despite the many soldiers who stand between her and the castle, Lyn wants to go back to rescue her grandfather. Kent reports to Lyn that he overheard the Laus soldiers recounting Eliwood’s exploits in Laus. Lyn, recognizing the impossible odds she faces, decides to request help from Eliwood. Florina requests to take on the mission of requesting reinforcements from Eliwood and departs. Soon after, Bauker and his soldiers spot Florina in the sky and attempt to shoot her down with the ballista. Fortunately, Eliwood and Hector arrive in time to warn Florina about the incoming attack, enabling her to narrowly dodge the arrow and break her fall with Hector’s body. After she comes to, Florina informs the two lords that Lyn is on the other side of the forest waiting for a chance to launch an assault on the castle. Eliwood and Hector rush in to give Lyn the opening she is waiting for. After Bauker has been defeated, Eliwood apologizes to Lyn for Darin’s invasion of Caelin, which he feels is his fault. He then introduces Hector and Lyn to each other. If Lyn’s Tale was completed, the Tactician will be reunited with Lyn and her companions.
Inside the castle, Hausen attempts to persuade Darin to give up his plans for conquering Lycia, prompting Ephidel to stab him before Darin surrenders to Eliwood. Ephidel convinces Darin that his desire for a united Lycia can still be fulfilled, all he has to do is abandon his soldiers and accompany him to the Dragon’s Gate. After Darin leaves for the Dragon’s Gate, Ephidel leaves Leila to finish off Hausen and hide his body then follows Darin.
Beginning log
Eliwood's Tale: In Laus, Erik tells Eliwood of a plan. A plot to use Laus as starting ground in a rebellion against Ostia. Eliwood needs proof to believe these accusations, and so he and his allies pursue Darin, the fleeing marquess of Laus. Where that chase would lead, Eliwood could not have known.
Hector's Tale: After repelling the mercenary forces of Eubans, Hector prepares to mount a pursuit of Marquess Laus. Lord Darin and his knights are with the instigator of the rebellion, the enigmatic Ephidel. Hector learns where the fugitives were traveling from Ostia’s network of spies. However, their final destination still remains unknown…
