In videos games, a movie or cutscene is a mechanic that minimizes or removes control from the player to show exposition or story. In some cases these can be prerendered and stored as movie files in the game. Some video games offer a theater mode to allow the player to rewatch these movies for their enjoyment.

In the Fire Emblem series, the first movies were implemented in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance along with a theater. In Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Fire Emblem Awakening onward, every Fire Emblem game includes prerendered movies that can be rewatched any time in a movie gallery.
