“ | Oh ho! So clever... Let's see how that wit fares against twenty of history's greatest heroes! | ” | — Aversa |

Champions of Yore 3 (Japanese: 英霊の魔符3 Heroic Spirit Talisman 3) is a downloadable content xenologue chapter in Fire Emblem Awakening. As a xenologue chapter, it does not officially bear a chapter number; if all xenologues are purchased and its list is viewed at the Outrealm Gate, Champions of Yore 3 is the third one from the top in the North American version of the game. Officially in Japan and unofficially in North America, Champions of Yore 3 is part of the first series of DLC releases, a distinction that does not exist in the PAL regions.
This chapter was first made available on May 2, 2012 in Japan, February 14, 2013 in North America, and May 8-9 in the PAL regions. In the Japanese version of the game, the previous chapter, Champions of Yore 2, must be purchased and completed before the player is able to purchase this chapter; no such restriction exists in international versions of the game.
In this chapter, Aversa has once again conned Old Hubba out of his cards, and sends all twenty of the legendary figures from the previous two encounters against the Shepherds again. This time, the Shepherds are on their own, as they must face all twenty of the legendary figures without any assistance.

Champions of Yore 3/Conversations
Chrom and the Shepherds arrive in the same Outrealm from Champions of Yore 1 and 2, and are again approached by Old Hubba; Hubba begs for their help, as Aversa has stolen more of this Einherjar—including those the Shepherds previously recovered—and has loosed them on Hubba. Aversa appears to taunt Hubba before the Shepherds battle her army, led by Ike; Hubba explains he may be the strongest of the Einherjar, and Ike and Chrom acknowledge each other's strengths before they begin battling.
After the Shepherds defeat all the Einherjar, Hubba is overjoyed, and rewards them an All Stats +2 tome. Hubba then has a vision of other Outrealms suffering attacks from uncontrolled Einherjar that the Shepherds defeat and are greatly rewarded for, but warns that the Einherjar may have to be fought many times to be truly defeated. Hubba offers to guide Chrom through the Outrealms and rewards him with the Einherjar of Micaiah.
Website summary
After getting his talismans back, the older fortuneteller makes a grave error, letting them fall into enemy hands. Twenty heroes are summoned from ten worlds. If Chrom and his team are victorious in this decisive battle, then perhaps they can acquire the Outrealm's hidden treasure.[1]
