Natalie (Japanese: ナタリー Natalie) is the wife of Dorcas appearing as a minor NPC in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade
Role
Natalie's most prominent role is in chapter 4 of Lyn's tale, where she appears as a helpless NPC that must be protected for several turns. Natalie is searching for her husband, Dorcas. She finds Lyn in and her companions in a ruined fortress near Natalie's village. Natalie asks Lyn if she has seen her missing husband, who has taken up mercenary work to pay for her medicine, but Lyn tells her she has not. Before Natalie can return home, the fortress is beseiged by bandits seeking revenge on Lyn for the death of Migal.[1]
As fate would turn, Dorcas has been hired by the very brigands attacking the fort, and joins Lyn in assisting Natalie once he learns of her presences. After the bandits are defeated, Dorcas leaves with Lyn to earn more money for Natalie's medicine and Natalie stays behind in Bern.
After her husband returns from Lyn's adventure, they both move to Pherae and Dorcas is eventually able to make enough money to purchase Natalie's medicine after traveling with Eliwood.
Personality and character
Natalie is Dorcas's loving wife. They are very dedicated to each other, Dorcas is willing to take stressful mercenary work to help her with her illness and Natalie goes out to search for him despite her difficulty walking.
Natalie apparently has some artistic skill, as the picture Dorcas keeps of her is apparently a self-portrait.[2] Natalie also drew a portrait of her husband to show travelers when she was searching for him.[3]
Trivia
- Natalie's portrait is an edit of Mary's portrait from Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade.
