The Elixir (Japanese: 特効薬 Miracle Cure) is the best healing item in the Fire Emblem series, having first appeared in The Binding Blade and appearing in all but two games since (skipping Shadow Dragon and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia); in most of its appearances, it can recover all HP of any unit. It is highly expensive, but in most games it can be used up to three times. The Elixir can be seen as a continuation of the Thracia 776 iteration of the Vulnerary, which had the same effect.
In Fates, the Elixir is weaker than in other games: although still the best healing item in the game, it now restores only 40 HP and can only be used one time before disappearing from the inventory.
In Heroes, the Elixir is an item usable only in the Arena Assault mode, and is a powerful item capable of restoring a very large amount of HP to all of the player's units.
