Grahnye (Japanese: グラーニェ Grahnye) was the wife of King Eldigan of the Agustrian state of Nordion, and the mother of Ares.

Biography

Grahnye originated from Leonster in the Munster District, where her parents continued to reside following her departure to marry Eldigan. A frail woman according to Ares, during the Agustrian war with Grannvale, Eldigan sent Grahnye and Ares away from Agustria to protect them from the conflict, where they lived with her parents for a time. Following the Battle of Belhalla, Grannvale launched an invasion of the Munster District to subdue all of its potential rivals, and Grahnye was killed in the invasion; the orphaned Ares was found and adopted by the mercenary Javarro.[1]

According to Ares, Grahnye blamed Sigurd for Eldigan's death. [2]
