Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade

(Japanese: アポカリプス Apocalypse), also known as the Elder Revelation (Japanese: 黙示の闇 Revelation's Darkness) is a dark tome introduced in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It is one of the legendary weapons of the continent Elibe, forged in the Scouring to battle dragons, and was wielded by Bramimond of the Eight Generals.

History

As with the other eight legendary weapons, Apocalypse was forged by humans during the Scouring for use by Bramimond of the Eight Generals, designed to pierce the defenses of dragons, and during battle its power was part of the cause of the Ending Winter. After the Scouring's conclusion, Bramimond sealed Apocalypse away deep within the Shrine of Seals, its residence until its death.[1]

According to Milady, rumours of the existence of Apocalypse and of its purpose as a defence mechanism for the Shrine regularly circulated among Bern's soldiers.[2] By the time Roy's army had defeated General Murdock and reached the Shrine, a detachment from Bern's army led by Peres, a lieutenant of Murdock, had set up to defend the Shrine's interior and the tome. After the army's defeat and the evasion of the chamber's many traps, Roy obtained the tome. Initially unfamiliar with it as it, like its wielder, had little known about it, the tome was identified as Apocalypse by Elphin.
