Shine (Japanese: シャイン Shine) is an uncommon light tome which debuted in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. In its first three appearances, in the hierarchy of light magic Shine is the second "stage", more powerful than the basic Lightning tome, and a counterpart to Thunder and Luna in the Game Boy Advance games, and to Elfire, Elthunder and Elwind in Path of Radiance. In Radiant Dawn, its rank was greatly increased to make it a counterpart to Arcfire, Arcthunder, Arcwind, and Carreau.
In Engage, Shine appears as one of the Engage weapons of Emblem Micaiah. It has identical statistics to its previous appearance in Radiant Dawn, but has gained a new secondary effect of illuminating the area around any enemy it hits, similar to the effect of the Torch staff in some games.

Fire Emblem Cipher
Shine is present as a skill on one card in Fire Emblem Cipher: B05-051SR Priestess of Hope, Micaiah. It is a manual-activation skill which, for a cost of flipping 1 bond, allows the player to draw two other discarded Micaiah cards from the Retreat Area and use them to grow this Micaiah, then draw a card. That drawn card is treated as if it had been leveled up and is allowed to use any Class Change Skills it has.
