In Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, the Sound Test is unlocked by completing the game once on any difficulty. All songs are unlocked once the Sound Test is. Before completing the game, the Sound Test can be temporarily accessed by inputting the following button combination on the title screen: "↑ ↓ ← → ↑". This is the same button combination used to access the Sound Test in Fire Emblem Gaiden, the original incarnation of Shadows of Valentia.
A total of 83 songs are featured in the Sound Test, although some songs are absent from it (mostly those related to Act 6 and amiibo functionality).
A portion of the game's soundtrack was released in album form as the Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Sound Selection, which was released in various special edition releases of the game.
