This map appears to just be standard Arcanist fare, but it has a nasty surprise. In order to recruit Delthea, you must NOT kill her, and instead make her leave by killing Tatarrah first. Delthea basically acts like the generic Witches you've faced before, so its up to the RNG whether or when she'll teleport in and attack with her Aura. Therefore, everyone needs at least 24 Magical Bulk and 1 AS to safely take a round from her.
That being said, she'll probably get herself killed if she got counterattacked, and for this reason, DON'T give your archers any strong bows, as they are the only units that can counter her for significant damage. Once she decides to teleport in, block her from going back to the enemy healers. She will NOT try to teleport back to get healed, so if you run her out of HP, she becomes harmless. Remember that casting magic costs HP, and Delthea's only spell is Aura; she does a lot of damage to herself when she attacks, so you can intentionally attack her with people that can't kill her so she damages herself down. If your units are too strong and risk killing her directly, remember that Alm's Royal Sword has the Subdue combat art on it, which enables Alm to attack Delthea without fear of killing her. Once Delthea's HP is too low to attack, block her way back so she doesn't get in range of any Fortify Arcanists. The rest of the Arcanists should be dealt with as usual; Mathilda is a recent recruit who does well against them.

Delthea
Tatarrah is the boss of the map, and defeating him boots Delthea out of the map, securing her recruitment. However, he starts in an area of the map covered in +20 Avo tiles and contains several +40 Avo Supplies; there's a wall that forces ground units to take the long way around, making taking him out quickly difficult. He's also the first enemy encountered that uses the powerful Death spell, which despite its name, does not cause instant death (unless your magical bulk is lacking). While assassinating Tatarrah may seem like a good way to save Delthea, it's incredibly unsafe. Tatarrah is all but certain to 2HKO anything you have, and since melee ground units need Silque's Warp to even reach him (or waste lots of time taking the long way around), reaching him in a timely manner without overextending your forces will be difficult. Snipers can use the Killer Bow's Hunter's Volley to try and kill him from a safe distance, though it's not a guarantee due to the terrain-boosting floor and dependence on a critical hit to get the job done. It's better to clear out the rest of the map slowly, and then overwhelm Tatarrah by swarming him with all of your healthy units together, as 5 HP per Death cast will add up.

Strategy

This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
