The Nameless Blade appears to be the same sword passed down Karel's family line that is mentioned in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. Karel strongly believed that there could only be one worthy person wielding the sword. He killed his parents and two other relatives[1] for it; he exempted his sister Karla due to her apparently being of insufficient skill level to be a worthy opponent at the time.[2]
