Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Eda is a level 5 Dragon Rider who joins the army in Chapter 14, past the halfway point of Thracia 776. She shares availability and a mutual support with her brother Deen, but her stats and combat are significantly worse than his. She has a B rank in lances, which is allows her to use Silver Lances at base level, but she only has a FCM of 1, so her ability to score critical hits is unreliable even while she is using the Killer Lance she joins with. Without critical hits, Eda cannot one-round enemies without significant investment. Furthermore, her base speed is too low to double fast enemies, and her low constitution means she gets weighed down by most weapons, making it even more difficult for her to double. Her only advantages compared to Deen are higher magic, much higher base luck and a better speed growth, but since her constitution at base is a shaky 5 compared to Deen's 12, lances noticeably weigh her down unless her speed increases enough to compensate for it.
Eda has flying utility outdoors; her movement is high and unimpeded by terrain. However, when deployed on indoor maps, she only has D rank swords and significantly worse stats, due to her class having the worst dismounting penalties, making it much harder for her to be of any use in there. A D rank in swords is too low to use any good swords, such as the King Sword or Killing Edge.
The optimal use of Eda is to use her for flying utility alone; there is plenty of use for flying utility in the chapters after she joins, including rescuing the civilians and the captured units by killing the Pegasus Knights who captured them in Chapter 14x and against the enemies that captured civilians in Chapter 15. As a combatant, Eda is ineffective at base level and requires a significant amount of training with scrolls equipped to become a good combat unit.

Endings
Eda, Wyvern Rider of Thracia
After the founding of the New Kingdom of Thracia, Eda became a close friend and confidante to Altena. Eda tried her best to raise her spirits, as the war and its revelations had taken their toll on Altena. She took her duties so seriously that she never concerned herself with her own well-being. Ultimately, Eda sacrificed her own happiness to better devote herself to serving Altena and the restoration of Thracia.
