The battle begins in the dark with a couple of armored units blocking the way. Units like [[Brighton]], [[Fergus]], or even [[Dalsin]] and Leif can help out, although be sure to let them in range of their supports and give Fergus the Armorslayer if he has the B-rank in sword and the Rapier to Leif so that he isn't weighed down. Watch out for the mages, though. If one of them has a B-rank in swords, the Flame Sword is useful, as magic also counts as resistance and they will take much less damage from the magic hits. Lifis's ability to steal from mages will be very useful as it allows him to neutralize them without taking damage. Karin is also good against them, but the Armor Knights will probably kill her. | |||

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody. |
The battle begins in the dark with a couple of armored units blocking the way. Units like Brighton, Fergus, or even Dalsin and Leif can help out, although be sure to let them in range of their supports and give Fergus the Armorslayer if he has the B-rank in sword and the Rapier to Leif so that he isn't weighed down.
Sending Lifis and Lara to free the children is recommended, as later villages only give items if their children were rescued, and Murphy must have escaped if the player wishes to recruit Hicks. The chapter itself has some valuable items to acquire. If Karin speaks with Ced regarding the state of affairs in Silesse, he will give her a Ced Scroll, which gives a massive +30% boost to a unit's speed growth. The only obtainable Brave Sword in the entire game can be found in one of the chests. Other than that, remember Fergus's advice and send Leif out last.
Trivia
- Booy and Cliff have identical names to two Fire Emblem Gaiden characters, Boey and Kliff (often known as "Cliff"); however, the fan-translated versions are different.
- This chapter holds the only obtainable Brave Sword in the entire game.
