Garret (Japanese: ガレット Garret) is a playable berserker in FE6.

Biography
Garret grew up in the Western Isles but moved away after his parents were murdered in a bandit attack on his village. He eventually slaughtered the ones who killed his parents, but was forced to turn to banditry in order to make a living.

Eventually, Garret fell in with a group of bandits near the Etrurian border and became their leader, but he prevented them from unnecessarily killing people, much to the ire of his crew. During the Disturbance of Bern, while taking advantage of the battle over Fae to ransack nearby villages, Garret was spotted by Lilina, and joined the Lycian army to ensure that the Ostian noble stayed true to her word and fought to aid the people.

Garret (Japanese: ガレット Garret) is a playable berserker in FE6.
After the war, Garret gave up banditry and led a peaceful life as a farmer, never picking up his axe again.

Garret is a unit who joins past the halfway point of The Binding Blade. He has very high strength and HP, especially in Hard Mode, but his speed is subpar. Garret is not fast enough to double any enemies except for the slowest ones. This makes it more difficult to make use of his strength. While he does have high HP, his defense and resistance are both mediocre, making him less durable. His speed is also low enough that he may get doubled by faster enemies.

Garret does have positive traits, though. His C-rank in axes is enough to use Killer Axes with no investment. Thanks to his high strength, he can oneshot enemies if he crits. The Berserker class gives him a crit bonus, too. Thanks to that, while wielding a Killer Axe, Garret can kill enemies in one round by critting them. As a Berserker, Garret can also walk on mountains, which increases his avoid. The player can exploit this to improve Garret's defenses and make him better at combat on enemy phase.

Garret suffers from the low accuracy of axes in The Binding Blade. Despite having a solid skill stat, he will still miss quite often. Considering he cannot double most enemies, this impedes his combat performance. Besides, having a C-rank in axes is decent, but not outstanding. For instance, Garret cannot use the Brave Axe at base. It is a shame, because the Brave Axe would circumvent his low speed by allowing him to attack twice. Increasing Garret's weapon rank is also a chore. Weapon EXP gain in The Binding Blade is very slow, and Garret will miss quite often, further slowing it down.

In summary, Garret is good enough at base level to contribute in combat, but he is not excellent. His growths are low, preventing him from gaining many stats as he levels up. He is better in Hard Mode than in Normal Mode, because he enjoys Hard Mode bonuses to all stats. That said, even with these bonuses, he suffers from the same issues that plague him in Normal Mode.

Personality
Garret is a broken man due to his past experiences. He resents bandits and by extension himself for being one, but he was forced to continue banditry as it was the only way he could make ends meet; in spite of this, he is upfront about his banditry and does not hesitate to admit it to others like Cath. He is cynical and pessimistic; when Lilina told him about the time she gave an old man her valuable bracelet after he told her that he was starving; Garret immediately believed that the old man was lying.<ref>{{cite|Lilina: I met an old blind man on the way here. For all his flaws, Garret does have some redeeming factors. He genuinely repents his actions as a bandit and has a heartfelt desire to become a better person; he is eager to find jobs that don't involve criminal activity, which is shown when he once requested a position in Geese's crew, but then immediately backed out when Geese told him that the crew recently had to resort to piracy.<ref>{{cite|Garret: Hey, you're a sailor, right?<br>Geese: Hm? Garret grew up in the Western Isles but moved away after his parents were murdered in a bandit attack on his village. He eventually slaughtered the ones who killed his parents, but was forced to turn to banditry in order to make a living.

3. "Cath: You... You're a bandit.
Garret: Hm? Yeah, I am.
" — Garret and Cath in their C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
4. "Lilina: I met an old blind man on the way here. He said that he would starve, so I gave it to him...
Garret: Oh man! You princesses are so damn gullible! He’s obviously tricking you. He’s making you pity him so you’ll give him money.
Lilina: But... Maybe he’s telling the truth...
Garret: Listen, kid, there’s no way in hell that he’s telling the truth. After he gets his money, he’ll be laughing at you as you walk away. You’re so soft ’cause you don’t know the real world.
" — Garret and Lilina in their C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
5. "Garret: Hey, you're a sailor, right?
Geese: Hm? Yeah, I am.
Garret: Do sailors make a lot of money?
Geese: ...... Well, we used to. But now...it's not so good. I had to stoop down to piracy.
Garret: Oh... Sorry to bother you, then.
Geese: What? I thought you wanted something.
Garret: I was thinking you might hire me on your ship, but it's kinda stupid to go from being a bandit to being a pirate. I just...don't want to rob people to live anymore.
" — Garret and Geese in their C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
6. "Garret: Well... Fast cash isn't easy to find, is it. Sailing seems like a worse option whenever I hear about it.
Geese: You think so? The sea's a great place.
" — Garret and Geese in their A support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
7. "Larum: Look. An entertainer's job is to let people have fun. No matter how well you can dance, there's no point if your audience isn't having a good time.
Garret: Hm...
Larum: If you want to make your audience cry, you really have to cry. If you want to make them laugh, you might have to look like an idiot. I know that if my audience is having fun, I don't mind embarrassing myself.
" — Garret and Larum in their A support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
8. "Garret: The army’s gonna loot the villages anyway. I suppose we better ransack ’em while we can.
Bandit: Awright, Boss!
Garret: But make sure you don’t do any unnecessary killing, you got that?
" — Garret, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
9. "He’s too nice… Well, I guess we can make it the army’s fault." — A bandit underling of Garret, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
