Thany (シャニー, Shanii) is a character in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. She first appears in Chapter 2.

She is a pegasus knight in training from Ilia and the younger sister of Juno and Thite. Thany is a member of Dieck's mercenaries, who are contracted by Lord Eliwood for the war against Bern.

Role

Thany is a pegasus knight from Ilia. Previous to the events of Fuuin no Tsurugi, she joined Dieck's mercenary band as part of her training. According to her and Juno's supports, she left Ilia shortly before the war started.

After Bern starts attacking Lycia, Lord Eliwood hires this mercenary band as reinforcements for the Pheraen army. They are to meet near the frontier with Bern, but when they arrive, a battle has already begun. Thany is sent to find Roy, and once she spots him, she returns to Dieck's side to inform of the events. After rescuing Elen's mistress, they work alongside Roy during the rest of the war.

In the Western Islands, Thany meets one of her older sisters, Thite, in the battlefield; however, all she can do is to convince her of not attacking Roy until he talks to Thite's employer. After Klein joins, Thany can finally persuade Thite to join the Lycian army.

Once Bern is defeated and the war is over, Thany becomes a full-fledged pegasus knight. For her hard work, she is first made a lieutenant, then a squad leader, and eventually, the Flightleader of Ilia. If she has an A support with Roy, though, she quits her job to go to Pherae with him, where she becomes the marchioness.

Thany and her sisters

Thany is a cheerful girl. She can be rash in the battlefield, which is criticized by her fellow mercenaries. She does not take it very well; depending on the person, she protests in reply, or even makes jokes to change the topic. She can be quite cheeky towards her comrades. She is prone to assume things, though, a bad habit she is aware of. Her cheerful disposition seems to be dampened only when confronting a comrade.

Thany loves her family dearly, and is overjoyed at the news of having a niece. As the youngest sister, she is used to being doted on by her sisters, and likes laughing at the more reserved Thite's attempts of showing affection.

Endings

Thany, Cheerful Knight
Short: Returned home and was knighted.

Long: After the war, Thany was knighted and became a full-fledged Pegasus Knight. Throughout her career, she served as lieutenant and squad leader, and she eventually rose to the position of Flightleader of Ilia. Her cheerful personality earned her much admiration and respect from her colleagues.

Roy and Thany
Thany gave up the path of the Pegasus Knight and went to Pherae with Roy, where they married. Rebuilding the battered land was a painful process, but her cheerful personality encouraged many people to rise up and help lead Lycia to prosperity again.
