Role
Asugi is Saizo's son, becoming recruitable after he marries. Like the other children of Corrin and their companions, Asugi was placed in the Deeprealms when he was born in order to keep him safe from the war. Time in the Deeprealms flows much more quickly than outside it, and Asugi reached young adulthood in a very short span of time.
In his paralogue, Saizo vs. Saizo, his father finds Asugi talking with a man, Funke, about a deal they had made. It appears that Asugi has become a dishonorable thief, which leads the father and son getting into an argument about the legacy of the Saizo name. This causes Asugi to leave which in turn makes Funke get upset and attack Corrin’s army. After the battle, Asugi and Saizo have another talk where Saizo decides to stop trying to force his son to take up his legacy and let him be free to make his own choices, but Asugi decides to use this freedom to join the army.
