The Wakizashi (Japanese: 飛刀 Flying Katana) is a katana that debuted in Fire Emblem Fates. Unusually for a katana, it is an enhanced-range weapon which can only deal damage from a distance of 2 range. While a strong katana in its own right, it's high-ranked, not the most accurate among katanas, keeps its user from follow-up attacking, and also makes its user more vulnerable to being follow-up attacked.
