The Genpeer Sword is a sword which comes with a built-in attribute that boosts damage output against an opponent of the same gender as the wielder--simply put, a male wielder deals more damage against a male target, and likewise a female wielder deals more damage against a female target--but lowers damage output against an opposite-gender opponent.
