The Broken Staff (Japanese: こわれた杖 Broken Staff) is a staff appearing in the two games of the Fire Emblem series taking place in Jugdral. Whenever a staff in either game reaches 0 remaining uses, it will become a Broken Staff. A staff cannot be used in a broken state, and must be repaired in order to regain its functionality, at a weapon repair shop in Genealogy of the Holy War or by the Repair staff in Thracia 776. No game taking place outside Jugdral includes the Broken Staff, and instead have staves that reach 0 remaining uses simply disappear from the inventory.
