I love you, Corrin. But if you survive long enough to make it all the way up here… I will do what I must and pierce your body with my blade. And then cradle you in my arms… just as I did when you were a child.

Another Hope is the thirteenth chapter of the Birthright campaign in Fire Emblem Fates. In this chapter, Corrin and his/her army finally arrive in Cheve in search of Ryoma and are attacked by Camilla.
Plot
- Main article: Another Hope/Script
Corrin's army finally arrives in Cheve, where Ryoma was heading. Takumi and Sakura express concern about their brother when someone approaches. At first, Corrin thinks it is Xander, despite how difficult it would have been to track them, but it appears to be Camilla, another of the Nohr royal siblings. The royal embraces Corrin calling her/him “little sister/brother”, angering Hinoka. Corrin assures Camilla Hinoka isn't replacing her as a big sister, stressing how difficult choosing between families was. Camilla express her relief over her sister/brother being safe and loved, but attack her/him nonetheless, proving to be extremely jealous. She calls on her troops, with Hans among them, and warns Corrin that she will not hesitate to kill her/him if she/he tries to meet with Ryoma.
Eventually, Corrin routs the Nohr and exposes Garon's plans to Camilla, who is shocked that the king would go as far as to put the life of her sister/brother in danger. Leo then interrupts, dismissing Corrin's words as lies. But as he prepares to attack with Hans, an armored soldier appears and wounds Leo in a surprise attack. He is soon followed by the Nohr rebels, led by Scarlet, who force the Nohr prince, Hans and a wounded Camilla to flee. Corrin thanks Scarlet and the soldier, who reveals himself as Ryoma.
Summary
The plan to launch an attack on King Garon is a failure. The group narrowly escapes a Nohrian army led by Xander, somehow making it safely to Cheve.

Character data
Note: Felicia is only a returning character if Corrin is male, while Jakob is only a returning character if Corrin is female. The returning characters list does not include any characters recruitable in paralogues or xenologues, as the player may not have taken on any available paralogue chapters yet. The list also does not include any bonus units, as they are recruitable at the player's discretion.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
- The Dragon Veins can wipe out some enemies easily, but remember that they won't give any experience.
- The only enemy units who will move unprovoked are the four cavaliers and the two outlaws near Hans once the player approaches. The six knights, Beruka and Selena will not move until Camilla has been provoked, even when provoked themselves.
- Before entering the 3 by 3 tiles zone in front of the right bridge for the first time, make sure your units are out of harm as Camilla will use the Dragon Vein in front of her to lower their HP to 1. It also makes Camilla's attack zone move by one tile, make sure all your units are clear if you're not ready to fight her.
- Hans' critical rate can make him a dangerous target if attacked at close range.
