Royal Royale is a downloadable content xenologue chapter in Fire Emblem Fates. As a xenologue chapter, it does not officially bear a chapter number; if all xenologues are purchased and its list is viewed at the Dragon's Gate, Royal Royale is the fifth one from the top in the North American version of the game. Royal Royale is part of the first series of DLC releases in all regions.
This chapter was first made available on August 6, 2015 in Japan, March 17, 2016 in North America, and June 9-10 in the PAL regions.
In this chapter, the Rainbow Sage of the Possible World calls the Hoshidan and Nohrian royals of the Finished World together to determine which one and their retainers are worthy enough to help the Corrin of the Ongoing World, who is stated to be in mortal peril. To that end, the royal/retainer teams fight with all their strength to attempt to determine which of the royals is the strongest of all.

Royal Royale/Script
Sakura asks Elise if they are in the right place, to which Elise says it should be yet she doesn't see anyone there; Camilla notes the situation as strange and wonders if a letter they got was some sort of cruel practical joke--the letter asked them to come to a specific location if they wished to save Corrin--or even a trap, with Hinoka stating they can't take any chances as it's Corrin's life they're dealing with. Camilla wonders if they should pull back and tell others (presumably their brothers) when Hinoka states she hears footsteps; the Rainbow Sage appears on the scene and thanks the girls for coming, with Elise recognizing him. The Rainbow Sage states there are some who call him by that name, but then states he is not a being of this world--he comes from a different place altogether, presiding over the Possible World; Elise asks the Rainbow Sage what he means, to which he states he requires the girls' assistance--he must borrow the strength of one from the Finished World, and that's why he wrote the letter. After an apology from Hinoka, Camilla asks the Rainbow Sage if Corrin really is in danger, to which the Rainbow Sage confirms--but it's not the Corrin they know, the Corrin of another world is in mortal peril, to which Camilla asks him what he's talking about. The Rainbow Sage states the Corrin he wishes to save lives in the Ongoing World, a world which has been embroiled in a fierce war which has been devastating the land, one quite similar to the one the girls recently fought in; after a shocked reaction from Sakura, the Rainbow Sage states the Corrin of the Ongoing World has chosen a path and is fighting tooth and nail for the future, yet more power is required to help the Corrin of the Ongoing World along his/her way--and that is why he requires the girls' assistance, asking them to lend him their strength.
Hinoka asks the Rainbow Sage if he wants them to go to the Ongoing World so they can fight, to which the Rainbow Sage states he does not possess the ability to send the girls to the Ongoing World--instead, they must all spar, to determine which of the girls is the mightiest warrior, and only then will they be able to assist the Corrin of the Ongoning World on his/her journey; Elise, reacting shockingly, asks how she could possibly have to fight against Camilla, Hinoka, and Sakura, that they're family, with Sakura asking the Rainbow Sage if he wants them to fight to the death, which the Rainbow Sage denies. The Rainbow Sage states he simply needs to tap into the power of whichever of the girls is the strongest, and if everything goes well, they may be able to make something to aid the Corrin of the Ongoing World; after a puzzled reaction from Sakura followed by the Rainbow Sage asking the girls if they'll help, Camilla states she'll help--she doesn't care if it's an entirely different world, she would do anything for Corrin--followed by Hinoka also stating she'll help--the Corrin of the Finished World fought bravely beside them and now it's their turn to help Corrin. The Rainbow Sage states he had a feeling the girls would be up for the challenge--as earlier today, their brothers made the same decision, all agreeing to take the challenge without a moment of hesitation; he states the boys are all willing to do whatever is necessary to help the Corrin of the Ongoing World, and he sees the girls are no different and they obviously have a great deal in common with the boys. As the girls each state their intentions of winning, the Rainbow Sage states he can see they're not lacking in enthusiasm and is curious as to who will emerge victorious; he then states he will transport the girls to the battleground and has taken the liberty of summoning their retainers, wishing them the best of luck. Once the player has selected their chosen team, the battle begins.

Once the battle ends, Camilla states that it was a thrilling victory, and it's all thanks to Selena and Beruka; Selena asks Camilla what she expected, that they're obviously the best fighters and Camilla doesn't need to praise them or anything, with Beruka stating they followed Camilla's orders exactly and that's what led to their success, with Camilla noting them as bein far too modest but will reward them as they deserve very soon. The Rainbow Sage then notes the victors represent the will and dedication of Nohr, to which Camilla confirms; the Rainbow Sage states he can't say he's terribly surprised, but congratulates Camilla nonetheless, then asks the three of them if they would place their hands together, to which Camilla confirms. The Rainbow Sage chants an incantation, after which he states the ritual worked perfectly, and thanks to their triumph, new objects have been born; Camilla asks what the objects are, to which the Rainbow Sage states are a Talisman and an Ebon Wing, proof of Camilla's team's triumph, and that he's certain they will be a great help to the Corrin of the Ongoing World. Camilla states she's glad she could pitch in and thanks the Rainbow Sage for his help, to which the Rainbow Sage tells her she should be thanking him, he's grateful for all of their help--regardless of the path Corrin follows, he/she and Camilla will always share a bond, her feelings for him/her will transcend the distance between worlds; should Camilla wish to grant the Corrin of the Ongoing World more power, she can come to the Rainbow Sage again, that he will always be waiting.

Trivia
- As a Master Ninja with its class's normal level 5 advanced class skill (Lethality) would give Team Ryoma an unfair advantage, Saizo and Kagero in this chapter have had the skill slots that would have normally been Lethality swapped with alternate skills (Rend Heaven and Seal Speed respectively).
- Camilla strangely has two points fewer in Magic in this chapter compared to in Beach Brawl, despite all units being five levels higher and all 191 of the other potentially variable stats having either held steady or increased between the chapters. (Any other decreases in visible stat can be attributed to either the loss or reduction of a beneficial weapon effect from Beach Brawl and/or the gain or increase of a penalizing weapon effect in this chapter.)
