Oh, I'm so terribly jealous of you all. My dear Corrin chose you. He'll/She'll never be our brother/sister again. I'll never get to sing him/her to sleep. We've loved him/her for most of his/her life, but I guess that wasn't enough in the end... I'll make you pay for taking him/her from us! You'll all die, here and now!

Another Hope (Japanese: 魂は屈せず Unyielding Soul) is the thirteenth chapter of the Birthright campaign in Fire Emblem Fates. In this chapter, Corrin and his/her army finally arrive in Cheve in search of Ryoma and are attacked by Camilla.
Plot
- Main article: Another Hope/Script
Corrin's army finally arrives in Cheve, where Ryoma was heading. Takumi and Sakura express concern about their brother when someone approaches. At first, Corrin thinks it is Xander, despite how difficult it would have been to track them, but it appears to be Camilla, another of the Nohr royal siblings. The royal embraces Corrin calling them “little sister/brother”, angering Hinoka, who tells her to back off of Corrin, however, he/she assures Camilla that Hinoka isn't replacing her as a big sister, but he/she couldn't stand for what Garon has done, stressing how difficult choosing between families was. Camilla express her relief over her sibling being safe and loved, but attacks them nonetheless, proving to be extremely jealous and express in anger that Corrin will never be her sibling again, or get to sing them to sleep, and the fact that she loved him/her for most of his/her life, but it wasn't enough in the end, and swears to kill the Hoshidian siblings for taking Corrin away from her. She calls on her troops, with Hans and her retainers, Selena and Beruka among them, and warns Corrin that she will not hesitate to kill them if he/she tries to meet with Ryoma and warns Corrin once she kills him/her, she will cradle Corrin in her arms, like she used to when Corrin was a child. Corrin begins the ensuing battle against Camilla and her troops. Preparations take place at this point.
Eventually, Corrin defeats Camilla and her group and exposes Garon's plans to Camilla, who is shocked that the king would go as far as to put the life of her sibling in danger. Before they can continue, Leo interrupts, dismissing Corrin's words as lies and warns Corrin he is coming after the Hoshidian royals, stating that is the only wat to "fix what they broke" and renouncing his hatred towards Corrin for betraying Nohr and threatens to erase them from his heart forever, but as he prepares to attack with Hans, an armored soldier appears and wounds Leo in a surprise attack. He is soon followed by the Nohr rebels, led by Scarlet. Shocked at the spike in the resistance's strength and recognizing the Nohrian's army inability to fight back due to Camilla's injuries, Hans tells him they must retreat and they don't stand a chance against them. Leo is angered by this and states they could've made a stand had it not been for Camilla's injuries, but agrees with Hans and they, along with Camilla, are forced to retreat, but Leo warns Corrin they are not finished yet. Corrin thanks Scarlet, who introduces herself as the anti-Nohr resistance in the occupied city of Cheve, and the soldier, who reveals himself as Ryoma as they are finally reunited with him.
Summary
The plan to launch an attack on King Garon is a failure. The group narrowly escapes a Nohrian army led by Xander, somehow making it safely to Cheve.

Strategy
This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.
|
- The Dragon Veins can wipe out some enemies easily, but remember that they won't give any experience.
- The only enemy units who will move unprovoked are the four cavaliers and the two outlaws near Hans once the player approaches. The six knights, Beruka and Selena will not move until Camilla has been provoked, even when provoked themselves.
- Before entering the 3 by 3 tiles zone in front of the right bridge for the first time, make sure your units are out of harm as Camilla will use the Dragon Vein in front of her to lower their HP to 1. It also makes Camilla's attack zone move by one tile, make sure all your units are clear if you're not ready to fight her.
- Hans' critical rate can make him a dangerous target if attacked at close range.
Trivia
- This chapter's map is reused in Conquest Chapter 13.
- Both chapters take place in Chapter 13 for both routes and takes place at Cheve.
