The Stone Shard (Japanese: 魔石のかけら, lit. Demon Stone Fragment) is an unused monster weapon from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. It doesn't have its own icon, and uses the Red Gem icon as a placeholder. Like all other unused items, it has only "DUMMY" for a description, a way of clearly pointing out to beta testers that it is an unused (or "dummied out") weapon, should not appear in normal gameplay and that its appearance should be considered a bug to report.
While in and of itself it is unremarkable, it is notable in that it was frequently seen in pre-release material for the game, consistently appearing as the weapon used by monsters in magazine previews for the game. It was also present in the leaked pre-release build. In all of these early appearances, it instead used the Firestone / Flametongue icon.

Trivia
- Unlike its description in the final release, the Stone Shard has a proper help description in the prototype. With said description being: "魔物に力を与える", meaning something along the lines of "Gives monsters strength".
