Samurai

Samurai were a class of highly-regarded warriors in medieval to early-modern Japan. All samurai were servants of lords and came from high-class, noble families themselves, similar to European knights, and they followed a way of life known as Bushidō. Contrary to their depiction in-game, samurai did not fight exclusively with swords, but are most commonly associated with them.
