Defense/Resistance Finish

Defense/Resistance Finish is a four-tiered passive type A skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; the individual tiers of the skill are known as Def/Res Finish 1, Def/Res Finish 2, Def/Res Finish 3, and Def/Res Finish 4 in order from lowest to highest. Units with a Defense/Resistance Finish skill, should there be allies within proximity of the user, can boost their Defense and Resistance during combat and, should the user's special skill be either ready to activate or have activated between the start of combat and the strike, boost the user's damage output during combat as long as it's not by an area-of-effect special skill; the Defense and Resistance boosts all increase with the skill's tier and the damage output boosts increase with the first three tiers, with the fourth tier also slightly healing the user after combat if the target has taken even the slightest bit of damage.
