The Guardian (Japanese: ガーディアン Guardian, or しゅごしん Guardian God) is a class that has never made an official appearance in the Fire Emblem series. While data for the Guardian class is present in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, it is never used, and the class is not present in any form in any other installment. Its appearance is taken from that of a General, with gray armor. The Guardian's map sprite depicts the class carrying a lance, though the Guardian is not able to wield weapons of any type.
