The Trueblade (Japanese: 剣聖 sword saint) class, also referred to as the Sword Eschatos (Japanese: ソードエスカトス) class in Japan, is a very advanced sword-using class debuting in Radiant Dawn. In its first appearance, it is the last in a rare three-stage promotion line, starting with the Myrmidon class, then the Swordmaster class, and finally the Trueblade. In Fates, it is one possible promoted form of the new Samurai class, the alternative being the Weapon Master.

Trueblades are extremely powerful, being a third-tier class in Radiant Dawn. They have high stats all around, although their strength and defense pale slightly in comparison to those of other final classes. Additionally, their resistance is rather low, and they do not have any ranged attacks, save for with swords such as the Tempest Blade.

However, they have an amazingly large bonus of +20% critical, and trueblades often have high skill, which additionally contributes to critical hit chance. Additionally, they have the Astra skill, which allows trueblades to attack five times in a row when activated, though their opponents are often decimated before the final strike. With few flaws, their skills compensate for their weakness in strength, and the Trueblade class is overall a very strong attacker.
