The (Japanese: かいりゅう Sea Dragon) is a class that has never made an official appearance in the Fire Emblem series—Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, the only time it appeared in a game's coding, had the Sea Dragon class go unused. Its moving map sprite resembles a sea serpent in appearance, while its battle sprite is the same as a Fire Dragon. It can move freely in seas like Pirates. Little is known about the class otherwise.
As it is a dragon class, it may have been intended to be usable as a manakete transformation; however, no transformation stone that would allow for such a transformation survives in the game's code, and no breath weapon, existing or otherwise, is known to be associated with the class. However, it can use any breath that is cheated into its inventory.
While not coded into the game, a sea dragon boss, known as Neptune (Japanese: ネプチューン Neptune), was planned to be featured in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light. It was supposed to attack with tornadoes rather than breath, and its attack animation was intended to have it conjure a spell with its hands.[1]
