Mechanist (Japanese: 絡繰師からくりし Karakurisi) is an advanced, Hoshido-aligned class which was introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. One of the class change options available to Ninjas and Apothecaries, they have the exclusive ability to create replicas to bolster their allies' ranks. They can also defend themselves with yumi and shuriken, and also have innate access to the Launcher turret. Unlike other classes, Mechanists do not wield their weapons directly; their weapons are built into the giant puppet they pilot. Mechanists attack by pulling on strings that make the puppet open its mouth and launch the corresponding weapon. In general, Mechanists have average stats all-around with no particular strengths or weaknesses, but they have high movement as a mounted class.
