The Iron Shield (Japanese: 鉄の盾 Iron Shield) is an accessory item in the shield category of equipment that debuted in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. It is the second member of the standard line of shields, superior to the Leather Shield but inferior to the Steel and Silver Shields, and gives a modest boost of 4 points of defense in Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and a small boost of 2 points to protection in Fire Emblem: Three Houses to units who equip it. It also teaches the Shove combat art in Shadows of Valentia, allowing its users to push allies.
