Heavy Blade (Japanese: 剛剣 Tough Sword) is a skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Fates. In Fates, it is a bonus class skill associated with the Vanguard class; in Heroes, it is a three-tiered type A passive skill (whose individiual tiers are known as Heavy Blade 1, Heavy Blade 2, and Heavy Blade 3 in order from lowest to highest). In Fates, Heavy Blade is a skill that grants a sizable boost to the user's Strength at the slight cost of a point of Speed; in Heroes, the skill accelerates the cooldown for special skills if the user's Attack is higher than the target's, the necessary gap in Attack stats presumably decreases with the skill's tier.
